AvaMed Workforce is hiring two Registered Nurses (RN) for 6-month contracts at High Desert State Prison (HDSP), a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) state prison in Susanville, CA (Medical, 8-hour day shifts).

Shift: Days, 5:45 AM-2:15 PM (8 hours, 30-minute meal)

Responsibilities

Provide nursing assessments, treatments and medication administration for incarcerated patients
Respond to medical needs and emergencies and coordinate with providers
Document care accurately in the facility's health record
Follow all custody, safety and security procedures

Requirements

Active California Registered Nurse license (California Board of Registered Nursing)
Current BLS certification
Acute, medical or correctional nursing experience; correctional experience preferred
Background check and CDCR security clearance
TB test, immunizations and facility health clearances
