AvaMed Workforce is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 6-month contract at Centinela State Prison, a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) state prison in Imperial, CA (Medical, 8-hour shifts).

Location: Centinela State Prison, Imperial, CA
Dates: 11/23/2026 - 05/30/2027
Shift: Days, Friday-Tuesday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM (8 hours, 30-minute meal)
Orientation: 2 weeks, dates to be determined

Responsibilities

Perform 15-minute patient rounds in the Correctional Treatment Center (CTC) while the call-light system is out of service (Title 22)
Assist patients with activities of daily living, vital signs and comfort care
Report changes in patient condition to licensed nursing staff and document care
Follow all custody, safety and security procedures

Requirements

Active California CNA certification
Current BLS certification
Acute, long-term care or correctional experience; correctional experience preferred
Background check and CDCR security clearance
TB test, immunizations and facility health clearances
