Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Evenings 2:00 PM-10:30 PM - Centinela State Prison

AvaMed Workforce is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 6-month contract at Centinela State Prison, a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) state prison in Imperial, CA (Medical, 8-hour shifts).

Assignment details

• Location: Centinela State Prison, Imperial, CA
• Dates: 11/23/2026 - 05/30/2027
• Shift: Evenings, Friday-Tuesday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM (8 hours, 30-minute meal)
• Orientation: 2 weeks, dates to be determined

Responsibilities

• Perform 15-minute patient rounds in the Correctional Treatment Center (CTC) while the call-light system is out of service (Title 22)
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, vital signs and comfort care
• Report changes in patient condition to licensed nursing staff and document care
• Follow all custody, safety and security procedures

Requirements

• Active California CNA certification
• Current BLS certification
• Acute, long-term care or correctional experience; correctional experience preferred
• Background check and CDCR security clearance
• TB test, immunizations and facility health clearances
