AvaMed Workforce is hiring a Phlebotomist at $30/hr for a 6-month part-time contract at California State Prison, Solano (CDCR) in Vacaville, CA.

Assignment details

• Location: California State Prison, Solano, Vacaville, CA
• Dates: 11/30/2026 - 06/28/2027
• Shift: Part time, Monday-Wednesday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM (30-minute meal)
• Orientation: 1 day, Monday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
• Pay: $30/hr

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection for incarcerated patients
• Label, process and transport specimens per lab protocols
• Document collections accurately and follow infection control standards
• Follow all custody, safety and security procedures

Requirements

• Active California CPT I certification
• Current BLS certification
• Phlebotomy experience; correctional experience preferred
• Background check and CDCR security clearance
• TB test, immunizations and facility health clearances
